CurioBeacon

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026. Last updated: August 22, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how CurioBeacon handles information when you visit the site or contact us.

Information you choose to provide

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional subject, your message, and consent to use that information to respond. Contact Form 7 sends the submission to our email service; CurioBeacon does not intentionally save contact-form submissions as a separate WordPress database of messages. The message and related delivery records may remain in the receiving and sending mail systems for as long as reasonably needed to answer the inquiry, maintain security, and keep necessary business records.

Technical and analytics information

Our web server and security systems may process technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, browser or device information, and referrer. We use this information to operate the site, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and understand performance.

CurioBeacon uses Burst Statistics, a WordPress analytics tool, to measure visits and page use in aggregate. It is currently configured in cookie mode and may use a first-party analytics cookie. Analytics information helps us understand which pages are useful and how the site is used; it is not used to create user accounts or sell personal information.

Cookies

WordPress uses cookies necessary for authenticated administrators. Public account registration and comments are disabled. The site may also use the first-party analytics cookie described above. Your browser can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some site functions.

How we use information

  • To deliver pages and keep CurioBeacon secure and reliable.
  • To answer messages and evaluate correction reports.
  • To diagnose technical problems and prevent spam or abuse.
  • To measure site performance and readership in aggregate.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosures

We use hosting, email delivery, and website software providers to operate CurioBeacon. They may process limited information on our behalf as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the security or rights of CurioBeacon or others, or during a legitimate transfer of the site. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security logs, backups, correspondence, and legal obligations. Access is limited to authorized operators. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with you by using our contact page or emailing contact@curiobeacon.com. We may need to verify your request, and some information may be retained when legally permitted or required.

Children and external links

CurioBeacon is a general-audience information site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Articles may link to external websites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or practices change. The current effective and last-updated dates appear at the top of this page.
